WE ARE 9TH
INTERNATIONAL ISLAMIC COLLEGE
GRADUATES AND PROUD OF IT!

Yesterday was the day when my friends- the comrades, who went through lots of ups and downs in the battle to become the best of themselves- and I finally were called upon the stage one at a time to receive the gold colored scroll that signified our battle has finally ended.

Yes. We have won THIS battle, but this is just the beginning.

To my friends who graduated in the 9th Convocation day as I am, bear in mind that life is a continuous journey that will test your determination, passion and strength to move forward to reach your dream. What is your dream? What is your goal? Each of us aims for different tower, but I believe our tower of success is equally hard to reach but grand in the eyes of our parents, our society, our nation and best of all, our Creator.

To those who graduated with success, I congratulate you and low my head to you for you may have suffered much to gain the happy ending in this battle. However, please do not rest yourself. While this little test seemed to have ended, life continues to provide another battle for us to go through to improve ourselves. While I stand in line with all of you, I believe we all share the same goal in life.

To make our parents proud.
To make our Ummah proud.

My friends, the friendship we built during the three to four years in the college will not end with this graduation. We have graduated from this battle, but our friendship is not. I thank you for the care, the joy, the support, the motivation, the hardship and the memories we shared together. YOU have made my diploma life THE BEST college life I ever have.

My friends- my dear Sahabat till the Jannah Insya Allah- I pray for your wealth and health, your happiness and joy in life and may Allah bless you with His kindness and gracious. Aamiin. I pray that in the future we could meet again and even if we are apart, know that each and every one of you leave a piece of your existence in me that I will carry for as long as I live, and it is my vow, that I will make you proud.

To my dear lecturers, my mothers and fathers, my guidance and my candle of light and inspirations. Words could not express how grateful I am to be under your wings, you who have spared your time for me to show and to shine my path as much as you would to your own child. If I were to shower you with all the wealth in this world, it will never be enough to repay the kindness and the deeds you gave to me.

Dear lecturers, it is not that I have lack sense of sentimental of you, but I believe such words are not what you wish for from me. I- the 'creation' you made with education and teachings, the 'seed' which you have nurtured with moral values and spiritual knowledge- will be one of the few who will determine the future of this nation, the place where you and your gran-kids will live. You may think this is such a big and vague sense of responsibility. I place on my shoulder this responsibility to ensure that I will forever do my best, even if the effort I put my heart fully could not alter the course of this world, in hope you and your kin will live in prosper.

It is my promise that I will not shame your name and continue to do my best, for the sake of Ummah. It is my promise that I will make sure you will not feel disappoint of me, of time you have spent for me, and of the knowledge you have shared for me. Pray for me, that I will be able to make you proud.
